Two hours north of Bendigo and west of Albury/Wodonga the big attraction is the Edward River - a playground for water skiing, kayaking, boating and fishing. Deniliquin is also home to the huge Deni Ute Muster event.  

Edward River Council successfully introduced a tourism tax on all businesses to generate funds to apply for matching state funding for tourism. Read about their incredible success.
