Event Toolkit
Your Council can provide our suite of over 30 white-labelled event management templates to local event organisers to help make their event planning easier.
Event Guide
Your Council can use our event management guide template to clearly outline Council’s event approval process, permits required for events, and how to plan, deliver and promote events effectively, then provide the guide to the region’s event organisers. Sections of the guide can be linked to the Event Toolkit templates.
Event Portal
Similar to the Event Guide but online instead of in document form, as an online portal on Council’s website. The portal will help event committees navigate Council processes such as event approvals, licensing, venue hire and traffic management planning. Such a portal can also help committees more more efficiently and effectively manage their events by providing clear instructions on topics such as long-term planning, logistics, risk management, ensuring financial viability, volunteer management, and event marketing, including linking to the Event Toolkit templates.
Process of Development
The Event Toolkit is available as a suite of templates for Council to add their brand to and provide to event organisers.
The Event Guide is available as a template for Council to fill in and provide to event organisers.
For an Event Portal, Council will provide information on its processes for Tilma Group to structure for the portal. Content from the Event Guide and Toolkit is added. The result is a Word document containing all of the content for an event portal for Council’s IT staff to add to Council’s website.

☆ Lockyer Valley Regional Council – Online portal for event organisers
For this agricultural valley west of Brisbane, Tilma Group developed the structure of, and content for, an online portal to both streamline the process of how Council supports local event organisers, and help event organisers learn how to effectively run an event.
The portal was designed to help event organisers know when and how their event would require approval from Council or other organisations such as the Department of Transport and Main Roads, and to help them effectively undertake activities such as risk management and event promotion.

For the City of Ballarat Tilma Group developed a complete toolkit for event organisers which provides a comprehensive suite of resources offering practical advice and tips to expand event organisers’ knowledge and capability to develop and deliver quality events.
